Candice Peart

Treasurer

Candice Peart is a respected Aboriginal community leader from Kununurra in the East Kimberley region of Western Australia and currently serves as Treasurer of Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) and Kimberley Renal Services (KRS). A proud Miriwoong woman, Candice brings strong cultural knowledge, community insight and extensive governance experience to her leadership role.
 
Candice holds a number of governance positions across the East Kimberley, including Director roles with the Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service, Wirrum Dawang Pty Ltd, Job Pathways and Biyoogoong Wirrum Dawang Aboriginal Corporation. Her experience spans community-controlled economic development, employment and training programs, and regional governance, with a strong focus on creating pathways into meaningful work for Aboriginal people.
 
As Treasurer, Candice provides financial oversight and governance support, contributing to sustainable decision-making and accountability across the organisations she serves. She brings a strong understanding of workforce development, economic participation and local enterprise, supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen community capability and long-term sustainability.
 
Candice is a strong advocate for Aboriginal Community Controlled approaches and is committed to ensuring services are culturally safe, community-led and responsive to local priorities across the Kimberley.
