Kimberley Renal Services

About

Lizzy relocated to Broome from the United Kingdom in 2009 and has since established her family and career in the region, developing strong personal and professional connections within the Kimberley community. It was within this vibrant community that their two beautiful daughters were born and are being raised.

Lizzy began her professional career in the United Kingdom’s financial sector, working with major institutions including HSBC and the Royal Bank of Scotland. During this time, she developed strong expertise in fraud detection, project management, and management reporting, building a solid foundation in governance, risk management, and operational excellence.

Since 2012, Lizzy has worked in the renal health sector with Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services, dedicating her career to improving access to high-quality, culturally appropriate renal care for Kimberley communities. She served for eight years as Business Manager for Kimberley Renal Services (KRS), where she supported the establishment of the Derby and Kununurra Renal Health Centres, as well as the Fitzroy Crossing dialysis facility. Lizzy subsequently held senior operational responsibilities across the regional service, with a focus on resource optimisation, budget management, accreditation and licensing compliance, data analysis, and delivery of complex operational and infrastructure projects. Throughout this work, she has been deeply motivated by contributing to services that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

In 2020, Lizzy was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Kimberley Renal Services, with responsibility for the organisation’s strategic direction and day-to-day operations. She is deeply committed to the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) sector and is driven by a strong belief in locally led, culturally safe models of care that improve outcomes for people living with kidney disease in the Kimberley.

Lizzy places a strong emphasis on people development and leadership capability. She is committed to building and supporting high-performing teams through mentorship, professional development, and values-based leadership. Lizzy believes that investing in people and empowering staff, supporting growth, and fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement is essential to delivering sustainable, high-quality healthcare services.
