Jenny Bedford

Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Jenny Bedford is a Nyinyi Jaru and Kija woman from Halls Creek with more than 20 years’ experience working in the Aboriginal Community Controlled sector, including nine years in Aboriginal Community Controlled health. Jenny has been Deputy CEO since 2021. Before this, she worked as the Executive Manager, Remote Services, where she led efforts to fully integrate the ACCHS Model of Care across Remote Health Centres in Balgo, Beagle Bay, Billiluna, and Mulan.
 
Throughout her career, Jenny has been deeply committed to working alongside Aboriginal communities to improve health and wellbeing outcomes. She currently serves as the Co-Chair of the Aboriginal Regional Governance Group (Kimberley Aboriginal Youth Wellbeing), is a member of the Aboriginal Advisory Council of WA and is the remote health representative on the First Nations Health Governance Group. Jenny also led the ACCHS drafting group on Schedule B of the National Health Reform Agreement as a representative of the Aboriginal Health Council of Western Australia (AHCWA). She is passionate about supporting staff to grow, mentoring the next generation of leaders, and creating pathways for staff to step into leadership roles.
