Kathy is a founding leader of the Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) and has dedicated her career to advancing Aboriginal health, justice, education and community development. Her professional background includes early roles as an Aboriginal Health Worker and educator within KAMS’ School of Health Studies, as well as extensive work in legal advocacy and community-led service design.

She currently holds governance roles across a range of Aboriginal Community Controlled and Aboriginal-led organisations, including KAMS, Kimberley Renal Services (KRS), BRAMS, Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation and the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia, as well as several regional Aboriginal corporations, including Goolarri Media Enterprises.
