William Clements

William (Chicky) Clements is a respected Aboriginal community leader and Board Director based in Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. A proud Bardi man from One Arm Point, Chicky brings more than 45 years of experience across environmental health, training and Aboriginal community governance.
 
Chicky currently serves as a Director of Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS), Kimberley Renal Services (KRS), Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services (NEHS) and the Community Alcohol Services of Western Australia (CASWA). He also works as a Senior Environmental Health Practitioner with NEHS. His career includes extensive experience in workforce development, holding a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and contributing to the development and delivery of environmental health qualifications across the vocational education and training (VET) sector.
 
Chicky has played a key role in national research, policy and VET review processes, bringing strong First Nations expertise, particularly in environmental and public health systems. His leadership is grounded in practical experience, cultural knowledge and a strong commitment to community-led solutions.
 
As a Director, Chicky contributes to strategic oversight, accountability and sustainable governance, and is a strong advocate for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services, workforce development and self-determination to improve long-term outcomes for Kimberley communities.
