Aboriginal health is a priority area of learning for GP Registrars. The Kimberley region of Western Australia offers unique opportunities for learning in remote Aboriginal primary health care.
A limited number of GP Registrar posts are available within the network of Kimberley Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
These training posts offer a supported learning environment for Registrars, who work as part of a team with GP Supervisors, Aboriginal Health Workers and others. A dedicated regional Medical Educator provides additional formal teaching and support.
