Social and Emotional Wellbeing

Supporting Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) in the Kimberley region.

For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, SEWB refers to the holistic strength and wellbeing of an individual, deeply connected to family, kinship, community, culture, spirituality, Country, and history.

Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services (KAMS) SEWB Team provides culturally safe, holistic, and community-driven support across the Kimberley region. We walk alongside individuals, families, and communities to deliver care grounded in healing, connection, and empowerment.

Our services Are

Culturally Grounded

Our work is based on Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing. Always guided by culture, kin, and connection to Country.

Community-Led and Locally Focused

Everything we do is shaped by local voices and community priorities. We are here to walk alongside you, not in front of you.

Safe and Trauma-Informed

We provide a space where people feel safe, respected, and supported with no judgement and real understanding.

Provided By Qualified Local Teams

Our SEWB workers live and work in the Kimberley. They bring the right skills, lived experience, and cultural knowledge to support your journey.

Supported By Strong Regional Partnerships

We collaborate with Elders, our member services and other ACCOs, community and funding bodies such as NIAA, NACCHO, WAPHA and WACHS to ensure support is well-connected and community driven.
